Installing an e-Kit
(existing ULTRAMIX
®
system)
1)
Close the cold water, hot water and mixed water valves.
2)
Remove the graduated knob.
3)
Remove the cartridge from the existing ULTRAMIX
®
mixing valve
(see the original
instructions for your ULTRAMIX
®
or watch our video on flushing/thermal treatment by
scanning the QR code on page 28).
4)
Install the original flushing kit, reinsert the ULTRAMIX
®
cartridge and fix it using the
screws provided
(recommended)
.
Turn off the domestic hot water supply before any flushing operation.
5)
Perform the flushing operation (supply water to the system).
6)
Close the cold water, hot water and mixed water valves.
7)
Remove the cartridge once flushing is complete.
8)
Install the e-Cartridge
(see page 7 - included with the e-Kit)
on the mixing valve.
9)
Refer to step 12 of the “Installing an e-ULTRAMIX
®
” section.

(new system)
Hydraulic connections
Mixing valve size (flow rate selection) must comply with the stated technical
characteristics (pages 5 and 6).
The nominal diameter of the mixing valve must be identical to the supply pipe diameter
and mixed water outlet pipe diameter (using the next size up or down is acceptable). Use
the dedicated calculation tool on our website to select the correct mixing valve.
1)
Mark the position of the device on the wall.
2)
Position the device.
3)
Connect the hot water inlet to the connector on the mixing valve marked with a red dot
and the cold water inlet to the connector marked with a blue dot.
4)
Connect the mixed water outlet (the mixed water outlet must be at the top of the
device).
5)
Ensure there is an easily accessible stop valve on each pipe.
Flushing and water supply
It is imperative to flush the pipework and mixing valve. You must turn off the
domestic hot water supply before any flushing operation.
6)
Remove the e-Cartridge from the mixing valve.
7)
Replace it with the flushing kit
(see page 7)
included in the box.
8)
Supply water to the system to perform the flushing operation.
9)
Close the cold water, hot water and mixed water valves.
10)
Remove the flushing kit.
11)
Refit the e-Cartridge inside the mixing valve.
