Maintenance
The following aspects should be checked regularly to ensure that the optimum performance levels of the valve are
maintained. Every 12 months, or more often if necessary;
• Check and clean the system filters.
• Verify that any check valves positioned upstream of the Caleffi valve are operating correctly, without problems caused
by impurities.
• Lime scale can be removed from internal components by immersion in a suitable de-scaling fluid.
• When the components which can be maintained have been checked, lubricate the O-ring with specific silicon grease
and repeat commissioning.
3. Caleffi Pressure Reducing Valve
PR533056 20mm (120, 180, 250 and 300L models)
PR533565 25mm (350 and 400L models)
Pressure reducing valves are required to reduce and stabilise the inlet
pressure supply in order to protect the pipe system and any downstream
valves or appliances connected to it.
The Caleffi 533 series are renowned for providing high flow rates while
remaining quiet and reliable.

The pressure reducing valve can be installed in any orientation but should not be
under water or dirt due to the risk of frost damage and dirt accumulating inside
the diagram cap. The valve should be located so that the entire pipe system is
operating under a controlled pressure with the possible exception of hose taps.
A ball valve is provided in the set as the primary system isolation point and is
commonly threaded into the PRV.
