ALWAYS MAINTAIN OR INSTALL A 2” AIR GAP ON ALL DRAIN LINES TO
PREVENT SEWAGE BACK SIPHONAGE.
Step 5. Connecting Raw Water Feed Line
1. Using the 3/8” clear tubing (supplied), connect the raw
water feed line to the right side of the auto shut-off valve.
Connect the other end of the tubing to the feed using a
compression or push-on style push on fitting. (Not supplied)
Step 6. Installing the Drain Line
1. A 1/4” poly tube should be used for the drain line. (Black
tubing-supplied) Attach the drain line to the fitting on the
upper back of the reject flow meter. Position the drain line
over the drain and secure it in place. Do not elevate the
drain line over 10 feet from the floor. If connection to a
sewer line is necessary, check the local code or a plumbing
professional for guidance and the required parts. Usually a
trap with a 2” air gap will suffice.
2. It is not recommended that a residential septic field be used for receiving the RO waste
from Vectapure™ RSXII Lite systems. If used to capacity, these systems (depending on
the model) will produce 600 to 800 USG (2,270 to 3030 litres) per day and will waterlog
most home septic beds.
Step 6. Installing the Permeate Line
1. Connect one end of the clear 3/8” tubing (supplied) to the top of the Auto shut off valve
2. Connect the other end to the storage tank. (see step #3.1or
#3.2)
