
Step 3.4 Connecting Adapter to ICS 16 Button Keypad

First you will need to remove the circuit board from the push button membrane. Undo the 4 screws
located in each corner of the circuit board. Then pull the two apart. CAUTION: Pins at the top of the
board could break if circuit board is twisted while separating. Pry them apart gently.
Once the boards are separated, Plug the adapter into the circuit board side as shown in the photos
attached.
Next the Circuit board and adapter will need to
be installed on the membrane (the keypad
faceplate)
Place the board on the membrane while lining
up the Male pins on the Membrane with the
Female pins on the adapter. Once everything
has been verified as lined up. Apply pressure to
the circuit board near the adapter to push the
pins in. The pins do not go in all the way. They
only go in about 1cm or about halfway down the
pins. Refer to photos.
