7.2 Lubrication
No lubrication operation is scheduled.
7.1 Cleaning the valve
Before carrying out any operation, set the valve in safety condition.
While removing dust from the valve, avoid spreading it in the surrounding area.
The user must use suitable clean ing materials depending on the type of plant and the material handled; avoid
us ing toxic or inflammable materials.
If the valve is used to handle food products, use non-toxic detergents suitable for the ap plication.
The frequency of cleaning op erations depends on the nature of the material to be metered and on the plant
type.
In case of harmful, toxic materials, the waste resulting from cleaning must be conveyed into a closed tank and
disposed off in accord ance with the instructions in the material safety chart.
Do not point water jets directly on electrical components.
REMARKS REGARDING VALVES FOR FOOD PRODUCTS
- Wash the valve periodically with water.
- Clean the valve disc and seal with particular care.
- Check first with the supplier before using any cleaning product.
- Remove the deposits of material inside and outside the valve after each intervention.
Prior to use the valves for food applications (model GF) shall be subjected to cleaning and sanitation by means
of a woven/non-woven cloth and sanitizer spray.
