Cause
Solution
No welding current
Power indicator and
ALARM-indicator light.
Overheating switch has
stopped welding
Mains voltage out of
range. (More than ±15%
av nominal 230V)
Wait until machine cools
down (switched on)
Check mains voltage
(with a professional!)
Power indicator on.No
welding current or bad
welding.
Welding circuit open or
with bad contact.
Check connections of
welding cable, electrode
and earth cable.
Bad welding
Welding polarity
incorrect.
Check polarity from
electrode package
markings.
Bad arc striking
Moist electrodes
Dry electrodes as
described in electrode
package markings..
Uneven arc in MIG /
MAG welding
Wire passage blocked
or incorrect welding
parameters
Check wire line (coil
brake, wire not mixed in
coil, feed rollers, wire
liner, nozzles. Check and
adjust welding
parameters.
Pores in MIG / MAG
welding.
No gas / air in the gas /
wet gas. Moisture /
impurities in the weld.
Too much draft in the
environment.
Check the gas line.
Check the gas used.
Clean welded surfaces
and additive wire. Protect
the welding spot from
draft.
TIG electrode burns
up.
Wrong polarity / gas
TIG torch to MINUS pole.
Use Argon or Helium or
Ar / He mixture.
