Wooden planks can only be inserted between the firewood and must not be the first layer, as they
cover the combustion opening in the grate. The finer material can only be used as a filler for the
space between the firewood, but in no case in the lower layer. The smaller the material, the less
you can mix in.
Inappropriate fuels
Moist fuels with more than 20% water are not allowed. They cause water to accumulate,
corroding the walls of the boiler's filling chamber. It is also forbidden to burn rubbish, paper and
cardboard (for kindling only), wood dust, sawdust, pieces of wood smaller than a thumb, coal,
coke and substances prohibited by the relevant air pollution law, such as old railway sleepers,
plastic sheets, impregnated wood, etc.
