Coat windows below head height with a
protective coating to prevent radiation
getting through or reflecting from the
glass.
f) Do not allow children to operate the
welder.
The welder is not a toy and must
be kept away from children. Misuse can
cause irreparable damage.
-
Children should not work or play
with the welder. Cleaning and user
maintenance should not be carried out
by children.
-
Do not allow children to play with the
packing foil. They can get caught in it
and suffocate while playing.
-
Ensure that children do not insert any
objects into the welder.
g) To prevent accidents caused by
accidental starting of the welder,
ensure that the power cord is
disconnected before carrying out any
adjustment and maintenance.
h) Shield any radiation-sensitive
equipment or devices, because
the
welder may generate electromagnetic
fields which can adversely affect the
functioning of electronic equipment,
mains and signal lines as well as
pacemakers.
-
Shield radiation-sensitive devices or
equipment accordingly, or remove them
from the work area.
-
Unwind the welding cables fully.
-
Keep persons with pacemakers away
from the working area.
i) Note that if there is no arc between
the earth terminal and the electrode
holder, the open circuit voltage U0 is
present. This voltage can be fatal!
-
Never simultaneously touch the
electrode or metal clamps of the
electrode holder and the earth terminal
or the workpiece with bare hands.
-
Note that the earthing conductor in
electrical equipment or devices can
be damaged by the welding current in
case of negligence. For example, if the
earth terminal is placed on the welder's
housing, which is connected to the
earthing conductor of the electrical
equipment.
-
Prevent the welding current from
flowing from the earth terminal via the
earthing conductor to a machine being
welded. The high welding current can
cause the earthing conductor to melt.
j) Ensure that the welding cable, the
electrode holder and the earth terminal
are in good condition.
Wear on the
insulated or conductive parts of the
machine can be dangerous and effect
performance of the machine.
k) Do not touch the electrode or any
metal item that is in contact with the
electrode while the welder is switched
on.
l) Do not replace the mains cable
by yourself.
If the mains cable is
damaged, it should be replaced by the
manufacturer, his after-sales service
personnel, or by an equally qualified
person, so as to prevent any risk.
m) Do not open the housing, but get it
repaired by qualified technicians.
Contact a specialised workshop for this
purpose. Liability and warranty claims
are excluded if repairs are carried out
independently or by improper connection
or incorrect operation.
n) Keep the welder out of rain and wet
environments.
Water in the device
increases the risk of electric shock.
o) Make sure that dust is not sucked in,
because the welder has a fan which sucks
in air for cooling at the rear side and
discharges the warm air from the front.
p) Protect the welder from metallic dust!
q) Allow the welder to cool down
completely before cleaning and
