6.5 Check the Engine Oil Level
IMPORTANT! For more information about engine oil, see
the engine manufacturer's manual and

Operating the engine with a low oil level can cause engine
damage that is not covered by the warranty.
The engine must be in a level position for the
dipstick to show the oil level correctly.
Check the engine oil level before each use.
1.
Park the machine on level ground.
2.
Stop the machine.
For instructions, see
3.
Pull out the oil-level dipstick and wipe it clean.
4.
Fully insert the oil-level dipstick.
5.
Pull out the oil-level dipstick and check the oil level.
The oil level is correct when oil is visible on the dipstick
from the end to the full (upper) mark.
6.
Do one of the following:

If the oil level is correct, continue with step 7.

If the oil level is low, add oil until the oil-level is at the
full (upper) mark. For instructions, see
7.
Insert and secure the oil-level dipstick.

6.6 Add Oil to the Engine

The engine has three oil-fill locations. The two most accessible
locations are shown in the following image. The third location is
on the opposite side of the engine, below the dipstick.
1.
Check the engine oil level to make sure that the oil level is
low. For instructions, see
2.
Turn an oil-fill cap counterclockwise to remove it.
3.
Use a clean funnel to slowly add the correct type and
amount of oil.
Do not overfill.
4.
Wait a minimum of one minute.
5.
Remove the funnel, and then check the engine oil level.
6.
Install and secure the oil-fill cap to prevent spillage.
