Raise the jack and secure it with the snapper pin
3.
Turn the discharge hood and position over the machine to
reduce the width of the machine.

5.
Never exceed a safe travel speed. Slow down when
encountering rough road conditions and cornering.
6.12 Storage
After the season's use or when the chipper is not going to be
used for a period, place the machine in storage.
•
Clear out any debris from the machine.
•
Wash the machine then operate it for few minutes to dry
out the moisture from the inside.
•
Thoroughly inspect the chipper. Check condition of the drive
belt and pulley. Replace or repair worn or damaged parts.
•
Store the unit in an area away from human activity. Do not
let children play on or around the stored machine.
•
Store the unit in a dry, level area. Support the frame with
wood blocking if required.
•
Turn fuel valve off.
•
If storing for long periods, add fuel stabilizer to the fuel
tank. Run the engine for 2–3 minutes so the stabilizer gets
into the fuel system. Consult the engine owner's manual for
specific information relating to engine storage.
•
If the chipper cannot be stored inside, cover it with a water
proof tarp.
