Black cable (-ve) of outboard motor
Connect of two batteries in series {OC12V)
Connect the red wire to the anode (+) and the black wire to the cathode (-).
It is recommended to install a 50 amp breaker together with the red positive
wire.
Circuit protection
It is recommended to installing a 50 A manual reset circuit breaker in the
electric outboard motor leads within 1 .Sm (72 Inches) of the battery(s).
Extension of the cable
If you wish to extend the supplied standard cable, we recommend using a
13 mm
2
(6-pin, AWG) cable.
Warning:
Batteries contain sulfuric acid, which can cause severe burns. Avoid
skin, eye and clothing contact with the sulfuric acid. Batteries also produce
hydrogen and oxygen gases while charging. This potentially explosive
mixture escapes through the vent caps and can still lead to an explosive
environment around the battery area after several hours of charging. Electric
arcs or flames can ignite the gas, which can cause an explosion that could
rupture the battery and cause blindness and other serious injury to the user
and others.
WARNING: Risk of explosion
Make sure that all switches are in the "off" position when
connecting the motor to one or more batteries. Otherwise,
the hydrogen gas could ignite and cause the battery to
explode.
