Engine Oil System (Hatz)

Engine Oil Level
5.2.1
Check the oil with the machine standing on a level surface.
5.2.2
Clean around the dipstick.
5.2.3
Check the oil level on the extended dipstick

. If necessary, top up
to the “max” mark.
Engine may be hot enough to cause burns! Allow engine to cool prior
to servicing.
Changing Engine Oil
5.2.4
Change the oil with the machine standing on a level surface.
5.2.5
Run the engine for a few minutes and then stop the engine.
5.2.6
Drain the engine oil when it is still warm.
Note:
In the interests of environmental protection, place a plastic sheet
and a container under the machine to collect any liquid which drains
off. Dispose of this liquid in accordance with environmental protection
legislation.
Burn hazard. Care must be taken when draining hot engine oil. Hot
oil can burn.

Unscrew the oil drain plug
(b)
and allow all the oil to drain into a
container.
5.2.8
Clean the oil drain plug and attach a new seal

. Insert and tighten
the plug.

Change engine oil and filter.

Clean cooling air system.
Check and adjust valve clearances.
Clean or replace air filter.
Replace fuel filter.
