Answering system operation

Remote access

A two-digit security code is required to access the answering system remotely 
from any touch-tone telephone. The preset code is

Dial your telephone number from any touch-tone telephone.

When the system plays your announcement, enter the two-digit security code.

Then you can enter one of the following remote commands.

Delete the current message (during playback).

Repeat the current message (during playback).

Listen to the previous message (during playback).

Hear a list of remote commands.

Turn the answering system on or off.

Hang up or press

 to end the call.

If you do not press any keys after you enter the remote access code, all new 
messages play. If there are no new messages, all old messages play.

Once the new messages have played, the telephone announces the help menu 
options. If you do not press any key within 20 seconds, the remote access call 
automatically disconnects.

When the answering system memory is full, the telephone announces,  

“Memory is full. Enter the remote access code.”

There are no entries in caller ID history.

You have transferred an outside call to another cordless 
handset.

The handset is calling the base (for intercom calls). 

The handset is transferring an outside call to the base.

The telephone base is calling the handset (for intercom calls).

The telephone base is transferring an outside call to 
the handset.

The handset is calling another handset (for intercom calls).

The answering system is answering a call. 

Calls will be

The answering system is turned on and can answer calls.

The answering system is turned off and cannot answer calls.

Contact deleted

A directory entry is deleted. 

Directory empty

There are no directory entries.

Directory full

The directory is full. You cannot save any new entries unless 
you delete some current entries.

Ended

You have just ended a call.
