Connection:
The 3-pole plug-in terminal screw can be withdrawn to facilitate connection.
A largely unfalsified voltage measurement of the starter battery must be allowed to the VOTRONIC D+ Simulator.
Therefore: Preferably lay separate cables (+ / -) directly from the battery to the unit, or choose cables, which are
subjected to only a slight load of other consumers to avoid malfunctions.
The remaining interior space of the housing can be used for surplus connection cable.
If a consumer shall be connected at the terminal, which exceeds the current consumption of 1.0 A, it can be switched by
means of an interconnected relay.
Start-up:
After connection of the battery the following will happen:
1.
The LED “Power” will be lighting momentarily (equipment-on check).
2.
The terminal will be activated for a short moment (test).
Function:
Activation Terminal:
If the battery voltage exceeds 13.7 V during charging, the terminal will be activated after
4 seconds.
Deactivation:
If the battery voltage drops below 13.0 V after the end of the charging process, the terminal
will be deactivated after 4 seconds.
Oscillation Suppression:
If the battery voltage drops quickly and repeatedly due to connection of a large consumer,
the VOTRONIC D+ Simulator extends the disconnecting time to up to 90 seconds. By this,
quick activation and deactivation (swinging) of the consumer is avoided.
If the battery voltage drops further to below 12.3 V during these 90 seconds, the terminal
will be switched-off after 4 seconds nevertheless.
Pilot Lamps:
„Power“:
If it is flashing:
Terminal switched-off
(D+ signal off), stand-by
If it is lighting:
Terminal activated
(D+ signal on)
Further actions at the unit are not required during normal automatic mode.
