TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

SOLUTION

Ensure the tool is switched on and connected to  
mains power.

Activate the 

On/Off Trigger

 to power on.

Check the fuse and replace if necessary.

TOOL DOES NOT POWER ON

BLADE DOES NOT MOVE

POOR CUTTING PERFORMANCE

MOTOR BECOMES HOT

BLADE IS JUDDERING OR 

VIBRATING ABNORMALLY

The tool has been heavily used. Reduce the force 
applied to the tool. Do not exert extra pressure, let the 
tool do the work. 

Air vents may have become blocked. Clean the air vents 
using compressed air or a clean dry cloth. 

The blade is not mounted correctly. Check the blade 
and replace if necessary. 

Machine bearings may be worn. Contact DOMU Brands 
Customer Services.

CAUTION

 Ensure the 800W Reciprocating Saw is 

disconnected from the mains power supply before 
attempting any maintenance.

Keep the tool’s ventilation slots clean and free from 
obstructions. If available, blow compressed air into 
the vents to clear any internal dust.

IMPORTANT 

Safety goggles must be worn when 

undertaking this task.

Keep the outer casing of the appliance clean and free 
from grease. 

CAUTION 

Do not wash with water or use solvents 

or abrasives. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to 
clean the tool. 

Always store your appliance in a cool, dry place, out 
of reach of children.

Drive gear may be broken. Contact DOMU Brands 
Customer Services.

The blade may be damaged and will require changing 
as outlined in the 

‘Fitting a Saw Blade’

 section.

The blade may not be suitable for the material used.

WARNING! 

Do not allow water or any 

other liquid to enter the tool. Never 
immerse any part of the tool in a liquid for 
any reason.
