Remote map updates
Some preparation is necessary before a remote
update can be made through a cell phone Inter-
net connection.

Internet connection
The vehicle has to be connected to the Internet
using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, through a cable con-
nected to the USB socket or using the vehicle's
integrated modem. A symbol showing the con-
nection's status can be seen in the center dis-
play's status bar.

Downloading maps from the Internet
Downloads are done using the
Remote update service
in
the center display's App view.
1. From the center display's Home view, swipe
from right to left to access App view.
2. Open the
Remote update service
app.
> A download app will start and an icon in
the
Maps
button will show the number of
available updates.
3. Tap
Maps
to display a list of available
updates.
4. Mark the desired region. Tap the down-arrow
for information about the current version of
the map data or tap
Install
to see if a newer
version is available.
