This operator’s manual covers the following models;
V8–225–C
V8–270–C
V8–300–C
V8–320–C
These engines have catalytic converter exhaust sys-
tems.
Engines with traditional iron manifold exhaust systems
and/or Electronic Vessel Control are covered by other
manuals.
A suffix follows the —C. Example; V8-300–C -A . The
letter in the suffix is for version control.
Forward Drive
All drives mated to the engines listed above are cov-
ered by this manual, including the Forward Drive.
Illustrations throughout the manual show the traditional
SX or DPS sterndrive. The information in each of these
sections also applies to the Forward Drive (FWD),
unless noted in the text.
