Diagnostic function
Code 5.6 Boost pressure
Cause:
High boost pressure.
Consequence:
The engine power is reduced until normal
values are obtained.
Corrective action:
• Check the air filter and the delivery pipe between the
intake manifold and the control module.
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Contact an authorised workshop if the fault persists.
Code 6.4 MS unit
Cause:
Incorrect signals from the control potentiometer or
the control panel on an alternative control position (or a
fault in the MS unit).
Consequence:
The boat cannot be operated from alterna-
tive contra positions.
Corrective action:
• Check the wiring and connections for the control, control
panel and the wiring and connections leading to alterna-
tive control positions.
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Drive from an alternative control position if the fault per-
sists.
Code 7.2 Needle lift sensor
Cause:
Values outside the permitted range from the nee-
dle lift sensor in the injector for cylinder 1.
Consequence:
Engine power is reduced.
Corrective action:
• Check the connections and wiring for the injector for
cylinder 1 and the control module.
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Contact an authorised workshop if the fault persists.
Code 8.1 Control module
Cause:
Fault in the control module
Consequence:
The engine stops, cannot be started, the
control position cannot be activated.
Corrective action:
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Contact an authorised workshop if the fault persists.
Code 8.3 Calibration
Cause:
The calibration values cannot be stored by the
control module.
Consequence:
The control must be calibrated before
each start.
Corrective action:
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Recalibrate the control.
• Contact an authorised workshop if the fault persists.
Code 9.1 MS unit
Cause:
The MS unit receives no signal from the control
unit.
Consequence:
The boat cannot be operated from alterna-
tive control positions.
Corrective action:
• Check the wiring and connections for the control module
and the wiring and connections leading to alternative
control positions.
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Drive from an alternative control position if the fault per-
sists.
Code 9.9 Program memory
Cause:
Fault when the ignition is switched on or a fault in
the program memory.
Consequence:
The engine cannot be started.
Corrective action:
• Turn off power completely and wait three minutes before
reconnecting.
• Check the wiring and the connections for the power
supply (battery, starter motor, ignition switch, actuator
etc.).
• Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
• Start the engine.
• Contact an authorised workshop if the fault persists.
