Impeller. Checking/Replacing
WARNING! Risk for water penetration. If the
boat is in the water the following measures
should be carried out before starting work:
Reverse gear: Close the sea cock.
Remove the cover from the seawater pump and re-
move the impeller (1). If there are cracks or other
defects the impeller must be replaced. Lubricate the
pump housing and the inside of the cover with a little
waterproof grease for rubber. Reinstall the impeller
using a clockwise rotating movement. Install the
seal washers on the shaft center. Install the cover
together with a new gasket. Open the sea cock.
Seawater filter. Cleaning
Screw off cover (1) and remove seal plate (2). Lift
out and clean the insert (3).
WARNING! Risk for water penetration.
IMPORTANT! If the boat is used in water that
has a lot of contaminants, seaweed etc. the fil-
ter must be checked more frequently than indi-
cated in the maintenance schedule. Otherwise
there is a risk the filter will clog and the engine
will overheat.
