Do not force the product. Let the adjustable
plate flatten firmly against the workpiece
during sawing. Just push just so hard that
the saw blade works its way through the
workpiece. Reduce the pressure as the saw
blade approaches the end of the cut.
The stroke frequency should be adapted to
the workpiece. Use lower strokes for hard
materials such as metal and higher strokes
for softer materials.
Immediately release the switch if the saw
blade jams or gets stuck. Widen the cut with
a suitable tool and pull out the saw blade.
Use
Switching on/off
Start the tool by first pressing the safety
switch and then the power switch.
Turn off the tool by releasing the power switch.
Stroke rate
The ON/OFF switch has a variable speed
control. Pressing the ON/OFF switch yields
a low stroke rate. Increasing the pressure
increases the stroke rate.
Sawing
Place the foot plate of the reciprocating saw
against the workpiece.
Start the reciprocating saw and hold it
against the workpiece.
Do not hold the workpiece with your hand.
Lock button for adjustable plate (shoe)
The adjustable plate can be moved to adjust
how far the saw blade protrudes. The func-
tion is useful, for example, when sawing a
thinner surface layer, such as a plasterboard,
without the saw blade protruding far into the
wall behind the board. To move the adjust-
able plate, press the lock button and drag or
push the plate to the desired position. Re-
turn the knob to its original position and try
to move the adjustable plate to check that it
is locked correctly.
Cutting flush with adjacent surface
With suitable saw blades, it is possible to
saw off protruding objects (such as water
pipes or similar) in planes with an adjacent
surface.
NOTE! The saw blade protrudes behind
the workpiece - risk of kickback.
Place the saw blade with the side against the
adjacent surface and press lightly sideways
so that the edge of the adjustable plate rests
against the adjacent surface. Start the recip-
rocating saw and make the cut with a main-
tained lateral pressure.
