Never charge the battery pack at an
ambient temperature of below 10°C or
above 40°C.
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for
an extended period, the charge level
must be checked regularly. The optimum
charge level is between 50% and 80%.
Always disconnect the mains plug before
removing the battery pack from or inserting
it into the charger.

Slide the battery pack into the handle until it
engages.
Removing the battery pack:
Press the release button and remove the
battery pack.
Checking the battery charge level
To check the battery status, press the battery
charge level button. The status/remaining
charge is shown on the battery display LED
as follows:
GREEN/RED/ORANGE = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery.
Fitting saw blade
Use only the accessories and attachments
which are specified in the operating instruc-
tions and are compatible with the appliance.
Always remove the battery from the recip-
rocating saw before inserting or removing
a saw blade.
The reciprocating saw has a quick-mount
for saw blades. Release the saw blade by
turning the knob a quarter of a turn counter-
clockwise, inserting the saw blade and
releasing the knob. Pull the saw blade to
make sure it is firmly seated.
General sawing instructions
Before each use, check that the power switch
works properly and returns to the off position
when released.
Before working on walls, ceilings or floors,
check with a suitable detector that there are
no electrical, gas and / or water pipes in the
work area.
Use suitable saw blades for the current task.
Check that the saw blade cannot come into
contact with objects or surfaces behind the
workpiece.
Mark the saw line clearly. Use cutting oil
when sawing metal.
Press the power switch to start the product
and allow it to reach the set maximum stroke
frequency before the saw blade comes into
contact with the workpiece.
Risk of vibration damage. Avoid long work
periods and interrupt work if there is a
change in the skin color of the hands or if
the fingers are asleep. Plan the work so that
exposure to heavy vibrations is spread over
a longer period.

Even if properly operating and handling this
product in accordance with all the safety
requirements, potential risks of injury and
damage remain.

operator and persons in the vicinity. Wear
eye protection and a dust mask.
c) The device is not a toy and does not be-
long in the hands of children.
Before use
Charging the battery pack
The storage climate should be cool and
dry and the ambient temperature should
be between 0°C and 50°C.
Insert the battery pack into the charger.
Insert the power plug into the socket. The
green charge control LED lights up briefly,
then the red charge control LED lights up.
The green control LED indicates that
charging is complete and the battery
pack is ready for use.
