General sawing instructions
Press the power switch to start the saw and
allow it to reach the set maximum stroke
frequency before the saw blade comes into
contact with the workpiece.
Do not force the product. Let the footplate
rest firmly against the workpiece during
sawing. Push just so hard that the saw blade
works its way through the workpiece. Reduce
the pressure as the saw blade approaches
the end of the cut.
By varying your pressure on the power
switch, you can control the saw’s stroke
speed. A light pressure means a lower stroke
speed while a harder pressure results in a
higher stroke speed.
Immediately release the switch if the saw
blade jams or gets stuck. Widen the cut with
a suitable tool and pull out the saw blade.
The switch must not be locked in the
pressed position.
Do not move the saw from the workpiece
while the saw blade is moving.
Using the tool with the mul-
tifunction tool head
Always remove the battery from the multi-
tool before inserting or removing a tool.
Changing tool
Lift up the tool release lever.
If necessary, remove the existing tool by
moving it forward.
Fit a new tool by inserting it from the front
so that the guide holes are aligned over the
studs.
Fold back the tool release lever and check
that the tool is firmly seated.
Installation of sandpaper
The sanding plate is equipped with a Velcro
fastener, for easy replacement of sandpaper.
Clean the sanding surface of the sanding
plate from debris and dust.
Press the sandpaper onto the Velcro surface,
making sure that the holes in the paper align
with the holes in the sanding surface.
General instructions for the multi-
function tool
Before each use, check that the power switch
is working properly and returns to the off
position when released.
Applying a larger pressure does not mean an
increased grinding or sawing capacity, but
only increases the wear on the machine and
the tool.
Sawing and cutting:
Use undamaged saw blades that are suitable
for the current task.
Check for foreign objects such as nails or
screws in the workpiece. In these cases a
special saw blade must be used.
Plunge-sawing may only be done on soft
materials such as wood, plasterboard etc.
Press the switch to start the product and let
it reach the set maximum stroke frequency
before the saw blade comes into contact
with the workpiece.
Immediately release the switch if the saw
blade jams or gets stuck. Widen the cut with
a suitable tool and pull out the saw blade.
Scraping:
Keep the scraping knife flat against the
surface and apply only a light pressure when
scraping soft materials, e.g. wood, otherwise
the scraping knife can dig into the material.
Grinding:
Fit a suitable sandpaper depending on the
material to be sanded. Choose a coarse
sandpaper if a lot of material is to be felled
and then switch to a finer paper.
Work in stone, soft tile and sealant:
Working in stone material wears hard on
the tool. Only use diamond blades or tools
made of cemented carbide when working in
soft stone materials.
