This section explains how to troubleshoot common issues:
Always observe the safety information in these instructions.
Error
Possible cause
Possible solution
The multimeter does not
work.
Is the battery flat?
Check the status. Replace the batteries.
The measured value does
not change.
Have you selected the wrong meas-
urement mode (AC/DC)?
Check the display (AC/DC) and select
another mode if necessary.
Did you use the wrong measurement
sockets?
Compare the connection with the
display.
Is the hold function enabled?
Disable the hold function.
The multimeter cannot take
measurements in the 10 A
range.
Is the fuse in the 10 A input defective? Check the F1 fuse.
The multimeter cannot take
measurements in the mA/
µA range.
The PTC fuse was triggered, which
limits the measurement current.
Reduce the measuring current or switch
to the 10 A measuring range.
Erratic measurement dis-
play in the mA/µA range.
The internal resistance of the
integrated PTC fuse increases slowly
during a long measurement.
Limit the measurement time. A pause
in the measurement allows the fuse to
cool down.
Repairs other than those described above should be performed only by an authorised specialist. If
