covered by these operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical

This device left the factory in perfect condition in terms of safety engineering.
In order to maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, the user must observe the
safety instructions and warnings provided in the accompanying literature or attached to the
product.
Please observe the following symbols:
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in these
operating instructions that has to be observed.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns against an electric shock or the
impairment of the electrical safety of the appliance.
This product has been CE certified and meets the necessary European
guidelines.

CAT II
Measurement category II for measurements on electric devices connected
to the mains supply by a power plug. This category also covers all smaller
categories (e.g. CAT I for measuring signal and control voltages).
Regularly check the technical safety of the instrument and measuring lines,
e.g. for damage to the housing or squeezed parts etc. Never operate the
device when it is open! !DANGER TO LIFE!
UNPACKING
After unpacking, check all parts for completeness and possible damage.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the device. Do not cover or seal the
ventilation openings of the device.
POSITIONING THE DEVICE
Position the device so that it can be operated and read comfortably.
During use, the product must be located near you in order for you to be able to take any
measures necessary in case of an emergency.
The product is equipped with two foldable feet.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the device. Do not cover or seal the
ventilation openings of the device.
OPERATION
1. Make sure the mains voltage selection switches on the rear match your local mains
supply. In Europe, make sure to use the “230V” setting.
2. Attach the mains cable provided to the power input on the rear of the device and connect
the isolated ground receptacle to an earthed wall socket.
3. The frequency counter and waveform generator functions can be turned on and off
individually using the master switches located on the rear of the device. The digital
multimeter and power supply functions can be turned on and off using the on/off
switches located on the front of the device.
4. After use, turn off all functions with their respective on/off switch and disconnect the
device from the mains.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are
removed (unless these parts are intended to be removed without tools).
Prior to cleaning or repairing the device, all lines have to be disconnected
and the device has to be turned off.
Replace the defective fuse with a fuse of the same type and nominal current.
For safety reasons, it is not permissible to repair fuses or bridge them.
• Do not use scouring, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzine, alcohols
or the like. The surface of the device could be corroded. In addition, the vapours are
detrimental to health and explosive. Sharp-edged tools such as screwdrivers or metal
brushes should not be used for cleaning purposes.
• Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly moistened cloth to clean the device, the display
and the measuring lines.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
