INTENDED USE
The product is intended for powering a notebook from a car cigarette plug. It will also power a
USB device. The product should only be used on car sockets of 12 – 24 V/DC. Only operate
the product in dry environment.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.

The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become

dangerous playing material for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high

humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and

protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly,

has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or

has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height

can damage the product.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are

connected to the product.

OPERATION
Always turn off the electrical load before plugging in / unplugging the load to
the adaptor. Ensure a proper connection is made. If the adaptor is connected
incorrectly, it may heat up or may cause an electric shock, fire, etc.
Select an output plug that matches the input socket and input voltage of the electric consumer

(see table). The value marked on the selected plug indicates the output voltage.
Connect the output plug to the connector at the end of the output cable. Voltage reversal of the

output plug is not possible for security reasons. Observe the orientation of the three pins.
Insert the DC hollow plug on the car cable into the adaptor.

Insert the other side of the car cable into a car socket of 12 – 24 V/DC.

The centre pin of the adaptor is the positive terminal, “+”, and the two side clamps are the

negative terminals, “–”. The LED indicates that power is connected.

Connect the output plug to the switched-off consumer.

Put the power adaptor onto a solid, flame-retardant surface and ensure that the power

adaptor is sufficiently ventilated.
Now switch the connected consumer on. If it does not function properly, switch it off
8.
immediately and disconnect it from the power adaptor.
Remove the power adaptor from the car socket when it is no longer in use.

Connect a USB device to the adaptor if necessary. Check your USB device for the charging
10.
/ operating status. Disconnect your USB devices when charging is completed.
The total consumption of the USB device connected to the product must not be higher
than 1 A.
FUSE REPLAcEMENT
If a fuse needs to be replaced you need to replace it with a fuse of the specified
type and nominal current (see “Technical Data”). It is absolutely not permitted
to repair fuses or to bridge the fuse holder.
Pull out the connection plug of the 12 – 24 V plug of the cigarette lighter of your car.

Unscrew the fastening at the top of the connection plug.
2.
Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the same type.
3.
Screw the fastening back on the connection plug.
4.
Fuses replacements are not covered by the warranty.
cLEANING
Disconnect the product from the power source before cleaning it. Use a dry and lint-free cloth
to clean the product. For stronger contamination, use a cloth that is slightly moistened with
lukewarm water.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
