c) Inserting and changing the batteries
The multimeter is operated with two 1.5 v micro
batteries (e.g. AAA, LR03 or equal build). You need to
insert two new, charged batteries before initial opera-
tion or when the battery change symbol
appears
on the display.
Proceed as follows to insert or change the bat-
teries:
- Disconnect the connected measuring lines from the
measuring circuit. Switch off the DMM.
- Loosen the rear screw at the battery compartment
lid (9) with a matching Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment lid from the
device.
- Replace the flat batteries with two new ones of the same type. Insert the new batteries in the
battery compartment observing the correct polarity. Observe the polarity as indicated in the
battery compartment.
- Re-insert the battery compartment lid in the device.
- Close and screw shut the casing carefully again.
