– Remove intermediate piece -2-.
– Remove upper part of outer shell -item 1-
– Unscrew bolt -1-.
– Push together retaining clip -2- on opposite side.
– Lift out auxiliary air heater control unit - J604- .
– Separate electrical connectors on auxiliary air heater control
unit - J604- -1-.
– Detach wiring harness with seal -2- from retainer in housing.
– Remove auxiliary heater control unit - J364- -1- from heater.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

When installing auxiliary air heater control unit - J604- -3-, en‐
sure that wires are clipped into holder on auxiliary air heater
control unit - J604- and that electrical connectors are connec‐
ted.

Perform a functional check after completing all work on the
heater unit.
