Installing the Main Bracket, Idler

Bracket and Compressor

Apply Loctite 242 (blue) to all fasteners (except nylon lock nuts)

unless otherwise stated.

Main bracket installation

☐

Ensure the alternator slide bushing is flush with the inside face of the alternator

mount (Figure 45).

☐

If required, adjust the bushing position using the OEM fastener and a shim

block.

☐

Remove the upper bolt securing the OEM cable tray to the primary water pump

in preparation for VMAC bracket installation
