Setting Up to Watch Television

Basic PLASMA FHDTV Start Up
1.
Connecting the Power Cable
Connect the power cord to the power cord connector on the back of the FHDTV, and then plug
the power cord into an AC wall socket.
2.
Connect Audio and Video Cables to the FHDTV
(see Chapter 2 for detailed steps)
3.
Turning Power On
Once all the components are connected, press the Power ON button on the side of the FHDTV,
or press the Power ON (Red) button on the remote control.
VIZIO initial Setup Wizard will come on screen, displaying a Welcome message and giving you the first of
six (6) screens with steps to follow to ready the TV for viewing your favorite programs and movies. Press
the

button to select the desired Setup Menu language (English, Espa
ň
ol or Français).

Initial Setup
After powering on the TV, the Initial Setup screen will come up. Press the

button on the remote control
to begin the process.
a. The Language selection screen will be shown next. English being the default highlighted option. If
you wish to change the OSD language to either Français or Español; press the
▼
button on the
remote control to select your choice.
Press the
►
button on the remote control to go to
the next screen.
Note:
At this point,
i
f a Set-Top Box from your
Local Cable or Satellite Service Company or other
equipment is being used, please press the
EXIT
key on the remote control and skip to Step 5. If this
is not the case, please continue to Step b.
