4. Specific safety instructions
Warning - Risk of electric shock!
To prevent danger to life due to electric shock, please heed the following safety instructions:
•
Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
•
Never use, expose or put the product near to:
- direct sunlight and dust;
- fire (fireplace, grill, candles), water (water splashes, vases, ponds, bath tube) or heavy moisture.
•
Should the product fall into water, then unplug the power cable from the mains outlet. Get the
product checked by an expert at this stage.
•
Do not use sprays or water sprays in close proximity of the product.
Warning - Risk of burning!
To prevent the risk of accident and injury, please heed the following safety instructions:
•
The air outlet grill may become very hot during use. Make sure that the power cable does not come
into contact with the air outlet grill.
•
Allow the product to cool down completely before you remove or install any accessories.
•
Risk of burning!
Parts of the product may become very hot during operation. Hold the product
therefore only with the handle.
Warning - Fire hazard!
The product works at high temperatures, please heed the following safety instructions to
prevent the risk of fire:
•
If you are using the product with your hand(s), then always make sure it is turned off for safety
reasons.
•
Never cover the air inlet and outlet openings during use. Make sure that any hair does not come into
contact inside the air inlet and outlet openings.
Warning - Property damage!
Please heed the following instructions to prevent property damage:
•
Never open the housing. Do not place any objects inside the air inlets and outlets.
•
Make sure that any objects such as hairpins or hair clips do not get inside the product. This may
cause a short circuit or damage to the product.
•
Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
