Possible audio/video sources
You can use any audio/video source for wireless
transmission. We have listed several possible sources
below.
Video sources
(a) without tuner
DVD player / recorder/ camcorder / digital camera /
computer
(b) with tuner
video recorder / satellite receiver / set-top box / DVB-T /
decoder
Audio sources
CD player or CD changer / cassette deck / hi-fi system
/
MP3 player / stereo radio / tuner / computer
Connecting the transmitter to an audio/video source
1.
Set the
OFF/ON
switch (see Fig. pos. 3) on the
transmitter to the OFF position.
2.
Use the AV phono to phono transmitter cable.
Connect it to the phono sockets
AUDIO-L, AUDIO-R,
Video
(4) on the transmitter and to the corresponding
output socket of your video source.
– If your video
source no longer has a free output, you can purchase the
appropriate Vivanco accessory from a specialist dealer to
double the outputs. For correct phono connection make
sure the colour of the plugs match the colour coding of the
sockets. If your video source has free scart output, make
the connection using the attached scart adapter.
3.
Use one of the power adapters supplied. Connect the
power adapter to the
9 V=
power socket (2) on the
transmitter, then plug the power adapter into a mains
socket.
4.
Now position the transmitter as described in the
section "Optimal positioning of transmitter and
receiver".
5.
Set the
OFF/ON
(3) switch on the transmitter to the
ON position. The LED lights to indicate readiness to

Connecting the transmitter to an audio source
1.
For the exclusive transmission of audio signals you
can also use the supplied AV phono lead.
2.
Connect the lead to the
AUDIO-L, AUDIO-R
(4)
sockets of the transmitter and the audio phono plugs
to the corresponding output sockets of your audio
source. Make sure the polarity (red/white) is correct.

Use one of the power adapters supplied. Connect the
power adapter to the
9 V=
power socket (2) on the
transmitter, then plug the power adapter into a mains
socket.
4.
Now position the transmitter as described in the
section "Optimal positioning of transmitter and
receiver".
5.
Set the
OFF/ON
(3) switch on the transmitter to the
ON position. The LED lights to indicate readiness to
operate.
Connecting the receiver
When transmitting audio/video signals, the receiver can be
connected
direct to a TV or
via an intermediary video recorder. For pure audio
transmission, the receiver can be connected direct to
a hi-fi system.
Direct connection of the receiver to a TV

Transmission of remote control signals from receiver to
transmitter
This audio/video transmitter/receiver set not only allows the
wireless transmission of picture and sound signals, but also
lets you control audio/video sources using the existing
remote controls from another room. The infrared signal for
remote control is captured by the infrared window
IR
(1) of
the receiver, converted into radio signals and then emitted to
the audio/video source as an infrared signal by an infrared
sensor at the transmitter.
1.
Connect the supplied infrared sensor cable to the
IR
socket (6) of the transmitter.
2.
Position the infrared sensors in front of the infrared
window/s of your audio/video source(s).
