7.1 ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
7.1.1 MIC/REBOOT/SHUTDOWN BUTTON
Press this button for 1 second to start recording from the microphone. Press again (or STOP button)
to stop recording. The recorded message will be displayed in the FILE AND PLAYLIST
MANAGEMENT section on the web page. Hold the button for 10 seconds to reboot the device
(after 10 seconds the LED (14) will flash green 5 times and the device will reboot, after releasing
the button the LED will alternate red and green light). Hold the button for 20 seconds to switch off
GRM1; the LED (14) will flash again in green, after releasing the button, the LED will flash
quickly in white and the device will shut down.
To switch GRM1 back on, it is necessary to disconnect and reconnect the power connector.
7.1.2 STOP/IP BUTTON
A short press on this button will stop the audio playback. Hold this button for 10 seconds to play
(audio output) an automatic message spelling GRM1's current IP address (the LED will flash
green). This functionality is really helpful in case it is impossible to access the webpage via the
default address: “
”.
7.1.3 COMMON POSITIVE SELECTION JUMPER
If this jumper is placed on “INT”, to activate the contacts the desired socket has to be put in short
circuit with “- COM”.
If the jumper is placed on “EXT”, it is possible to apply an external voltage (from 10 to 24VDC) to
manage the contacts.
This functionality is useful in case the contact activation needs to be done with a tension. For
example, with a decrease from 12Vdc to 0Vdc, the jumper must be set to “EXT” and “+COM” must
be connected to 12Vdc, while a conductor with the signal must be brought on the input socket.
