Use the following procedure to place/

replace batteries:

1. Press the “Power ON/Measurement” 

(2 ) button to turn the device off;

2. Press the batteries cover fixing 

tab (4) and open the batteries 

compartment cover (5);

3. Remove the discharged batteries 

and insert the new or rechargeable 

batteries. Make sure the batteries are 

inserted according to the polarity (+/-) 

shown in the side areas;

4. Close the cover and make sure the 

tab is well fixed;

 

When the charge level indicator 

is too low, the batteries shall be 

replaced.

4. OPERATING 

INSTRUCTIONS

This laser was designed to measure 

distances indoors. 

To ensure a safe operation, it is 

necessary to consider the following 

aspects:

� Before using, check if every fixing 

screw is properly tightened. It is 

important to check regularly the laser 

to ensure every safety issues and 

performance;

� Prevent the device from bumping 

or falling. Laser damage can impair 

accuracy;

� The reception lens and the laser 

ray outlet must not be covered or 

obstructed while measuring;

� Keep the laser ray outlet and the 

reception lens always clean;

� In case of a strong presence of light, 

and to obtain a better visibility of the 

laser ray, use laser glasses, a target 

plate for the laser beam or shade the 

target surface ;

4.1 - TURN THE DEVICE ON/

OFF 

1. To turn the device on, press “Power 

ON/Measurement” button (2) until the 

display (1) shows some data;

2. To turn the device off, press the 

“Power OFF/Reset” button (3) until 

the data on the display disappears;

3. If any button is pressed while 

operating: 

- 30 seconds – The laser turns off;

- 180 seconds – The device turns off;

 

Never leave the device without 

surveillance. Turn it off after using it. 

4.2 - MEASURING PROCEDURE 

(FIG. C)

The back edge of the device is always 

the measurement reference level. 

1. Lean the device back edge (10) 

against the desired measurement 

starting point (for ex., a wall);

2. Press the “Power ON/Measurement” 

(2) button to turn the laser on;

3. To start measuring, press again 

“Power ON/Measurement” button;

4. Point the laser ray (8) towards the 

surface to be measured;

5. To start a new measurement, press 

again “Power ON/Measurement” 

button.

The duration and quality of the 

measurements depend on the distance, 

the light conditions and the reflective 

properties of the target surfaces.

There are surfaces that may cause 

measuring errors:

� Clear surfaces (glass, water);

� Reflective surfaces (polished metal, 

glass);

� Porous surfaces (insulating material);

� Surfaces with structures (rough 

plaster, natural stone);

� Inclined surfaces; 

On these cases, a target plate shall be 

used over the surfaces.

4.3 -CONTINUOUS 

MEASUREMENT

To obtain distances over a fixed 

surface, use the following procedure:

1. Press and hold the “Power ON/

Measurement” button (2);

2. Point the laser ray (8) towards the 

surface and move the device towards 

the distance to be measured. The 

measurement is updated every 0.5 

seconds;

3. Press the “Power ON/

Measurement” button” or “Power OFF/

Reset” (3) button to stop continuous 

measurement. 

4.4 -MEASURING UNIT 

SELECTION

To change the measuring unit between 

m and ft:

1. Press both “Power ON/

Measurement” button (2) and “Power 

OFF/Reset” button (3) and wait until 

the unit changes;

5. MAINTENANCE 

AND CLEANING 
INSTRUCTIONS

This device does not need additional 

lubrication or maintenance. However, 

it needs a proper maintenance 

and a regular cleaning to operate 

continuously with no issues.
