Starting the engine
1. Set the ESC switch to "OFF" (1);
2. Set the air vent knob to "ON" position (2);
3. Set the 3 in 1switch to
"CHOCKE" position (3);
•
Ignition system on;
•
Fuel circuit on;
•
Air intake shut-off valves off;
You don't need air intake shut-off valves to start
a hot engine. Push the air intake shut-off valves
knob to the
"ON" position.
4. Pull the recoil starter slowly until it snaps into place,
then pull it quickly;
Hold the carrying handle (1A) firmly to prevent
the generator from falling off when pulling the
recoil starter.
5. After starting the engine, let it warm up until it does
not stop when the air vent knob returns to the
"ON"
position (4);
Remark:
•
When starting the engine, with ESC switch turned
on and there is no charge in the generator:
•
If you want to work with the Ecothrottle system,
turn the Ecothrottle switch to the "ON" position
after the engine warms up for 3 to 5 minutes.
•
If room temperature is below 5°C, the engine will
run at the rated rpm (rotations per minute) for 5
minutes.
•
If room temperature is above 5°C, the engine will
run at the rated rpm (rotations per minute) for 3
minutes.
•
The ESC switch will operate normally after the
above-mentioned periods while it is on.
Stopping the engine
1. Switch off the ESC (1);
2. Disconnect any electrical device;
3. Turn switch 3 in 1 to
"OFF" position (2):
•
Ignition system is off;
•
Fuel circuit is off;
4. Turn the air vent knob to the "OFF" position (3) after
the engine cools down.
Connecting the generator to an electrical wiring of a
building
The generator can provide emergency power to a
residence when there is an interruption in the power
supply from the public grid. When using the generator,
the aim is not to provide power for all the equipment in
the house, but to what is considered essential.
The connection of the generator to the electrical
wiring must be made in a correct way to avoid
damage to the generator and avoid the risk of accident.
Connections should only be made by a qualified
electrician or by persons with experience in electrical
wiring. They must ensure that the generator is isolated
from the public grid.
In the event of a public grid breakdown, whenever you
connect the generator to a building's electrical wiring to
supply power, you must turn off general electric circuit
breaker on the building's main switchboard.
Do not connect the generator to the electrical wiring of
a building if it does not have a general electric circuit
breaker installed by a qualified technician.
If the circuit breaker is not switched off, when the
public grid's power is restored, there may be
returning current in the generator and can cause:
▪
Electrocution to the user or others in contact with
the generator,
▪
Fire or explosion of the generator and fire in the
building's electrical wiring;
The generator cannot be connected to other power
sources.
You must turn off the generator before connecting the
general electric circuit breaker in order to use public
grid power again.
