WARNING:
to avoid the risk of serious injury when using your Vitamix® Immersion Blender, basic safety precautions should be followed, in-
cluding the following.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, SAFEGUARDS AND WARNINGS BEFORE OPERATING IMMERSION BLENDER.

Read all instructions.
2.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, DO NOT put the Immersion Blender in water or other liquid.
3.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory, or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before
cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
5.
Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils away from all accessories during operation to reduce
the risk of severe injury to persons and/or damage to the Immersion Blender.
6.
DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged
in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at their customer service telephone number for information on examination, repair,
or adjustment. Call Vitamix Customer Service at 1.800.848.2649 or 1.440.235.4840 or email [email protected] at once for
examination, repair, replacement, or adjustment. If purchased outside the U.S.A. or Canada, contact your local Vitamix dealer.

The use of the attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

DO NOT use outdoors.

DO NOT let power cord hang over edge of table or counter. DO NOT let power cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
10.
Do not process frozen meat or meat with bones with the chopping blade.
11.
Do not process frozen fruit or vegetables or hard fruit or vegetables with the chopping blade
12.
The maximum rating is based on the food chopper attachment that draws the greatest load (power or current) and that
other recommended attachments may draw significantly less power or current.
13.
Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or
damage to the food chopper. A scraper may be used but only when the food chopper is not running.
14.
The blades are sharp. Handle and clean the blades with extreme care to avoid injury.
15.
To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without first putting bowl properly in place.
16.
Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operating appliance.
17.
When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or make small quantities at a time to reduce spillage.
18.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug will fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. DO NOT modify the plug in any way.
