Using VLC to Play Streams
The NTCS is compatible with many players, a simple freeware player is VLC Media Player, which can
be downloaded from:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.en_GB.html
• Install and run the VLC Media Player application.
• From the Media menu select the ‘Open Network Stream’ as shown below.
• Enter the camera URL and stream type, eg:
rtsp://192.168.1.195/h264
The URL depends upon the IP address of the camera and the stream type,
eg: h264 or jpeg. This is shown below
• Press play and the video stream will appear.
