If you are prompted for a password, input the name and password for a user that has permission to install 
software on your computer.

Click 

Close

 on the installation complete window. 

You can now connect the scanner to your computer.

Technical Note

: the Installation Complete screen may be blank when installing on OS X (10.9). Please close the 

empty screen and proceed with connecting the scanner to the computer. 

Connect the USB Cable

1.

Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the scanner then into a USB port on the computer. Check your 
computer’s manual for USB port locations.
