3.3.2.  Start-up in Battery Mode (Cold Start)

1. Unpack the front panel of the UPS. If there are no batteries inside the UPS,

you are required to connect at least 16 pcs of the batteries with the UPS
first. You are recommended to use at least 16pcs 12Vdc/9AH (or
12Vdc/12AH) for 8Kva and 16pcs 12Vdc/12AH for 10Kva. Please be aware
that the DC system of 8Kva and 10Kva is 192Vdc. Make sure the battery
fuses are NOT installed before the batteries installed properly.

2. Push the Cold Start Switch to awake CPU of the UPS. The LCD display will

show from drawing A to drawing B, and keep awake for approx. 60 seconds.

3. Press the Inverter Switch of the UPS for about 3~5 seconds till the LCD

display shows from drawing B to drawing E. then, the UPS will be in Battery
Mode. Make sure you will press the Inverter Switch in 60 seconds after
pushing the Cold Start Switch. Otherwise, you have to go through step 1 to
3 once again.

3.3.3.  UPS Self-test

1. Switch on the UPS and make sure the UPS is in Normal mode.

2. Press Test(          ) key for 3~5 seconds, the UPS will switch to Battery

mode until battery voltage becomes low and then switch back to Normal
mode. The result of self-test will be indicated on the LCD display, either OK
or Fail. Depend on the test result the LCD display changes from drawing F
to either drawing G or drawing H.
