6.3.5 Connect the digital I/O interface (Digital I/O card ADDIDATA)

Damage of the outputs through inductive loads

With induced loads the outputs have to be switched with a free-wheeling diode anti-
parallel to the load.
NOTICE
Destruction caused by potential differences
•
The ground potential (GND) of the digital inputs and outputs of the device must be
connected to the ground potential (GND) of the control voltage of the device to be
controlled.
Connecting
The components required for connection are available as accessories.

Connect the 37-pin D-Sub connector of the unit's I/O expansion card to the process
environment using one of the following two variants:
•
I/O cable with 2 x D-Sub sockets and terminal board
•
I/O cable with 1 x D-Sub socket and open cable end
