The PROFIBUS slave has an int ernal power supply. This power supply
requires DC 24V. In addition to the electronics on t he bus coupler , the
supply voltage is also used t o power any modules connected to the
backplane bus. Please note that the maximum current that the integrated
power supply can deliver to the backplane bus is 3.5A.
The power supply is protected against reverse polarity.
PROFIBUS and backplane bus are galvanically isolated from each other.
Attention!
Please ensure that the polarity is cor rect when connecting the power
supply!
Via a 9pin RS485 int erface, you connect the PROFIBUS slave with your
PROFIBUS network.

Note!
The PROFIBUS line has t o be t erminated with its ripple resistor. Please
make sure to terminate the last participants on t he bus at both ends by
activating the terminating resistor.
