General Cutting
1.
Make sure the saw blade is clear of any foreign material and the power cord or
extension cord are out of the path of the blade.
2.
Be sure the material to be cut is held firmly. Small work pieces should be securely
clamped in a vise or clamped to the work bench.
3.
Make out a cutting line.
4.
Hold the saw firmly in front and clearly away from you.
5.
Switch on the tool and wait until the saw has reached its full speed.
6.
Place the shoe on the work piece and begin to saw.
NOTE: Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting. Allow the blade and the saw to
do the work.
WARNING! Make sure the saw blade does not touch the work piece until the saw reaches
its maximum speed. Failure to do so would causes loss of control and result in serious
injury.
WARNING! Use of excessive pressure that causes bending or twisting of the blade may
cause the blade to break.
Plunge cutting
Plunge cuts may only be applied to soft materials, such as wood, gypsum board, etc. Do
not plunge cut metal materials.
For plunge cutting, use only short saw blades. Place the power tool so that the edge of the
base plate rests on the workpiece, without the saw blade touching the workpiece, and
switch it on. Press the power tool firmly against the workpiece and allow the saw blade to
plunge slowly into the workpiece. As soon as the base plate rests fully on the workpiece,
continue sawing along the required cutting line.
