Air vent valve
1.
Route pipes so that they can be
completely vented. Install at least
one air vent valve with shut-off
facility at the highest point of the
system. Install an air separator at
an accessible point in the pipework
(see fig. on page 31).
2.
Equip the system to EN 12975 with
an expansion vessel, safety valve
and circulation pump.
3.
The expansion vessel must be
approved to DIN 4807 and must be
installed with a thermal insulating
loop. The diaphragms and seals of
the expansion vessel and the
safety valve must be suitable for
the process medium.
For the calculation of the
inlet pressure, see the
"Vitosol" service instruc-
tions.
4.
When operating without Solar-Divi-
con, only use safety valves
designed for 120 °C and max. 6 bar
and which carry the "S" (Solar)
designation.
5.
Make all connections pressure and
temperature-resistant (observe the
max. idle temperature of the collec-
tor).
