Release the “+” and “-” buttons.

“– –” is indicated in the display — the thermostat is operative.
4.3.2 Replace Batteries
The service life of thermostat batteries is approximately 2 years.
Replace the battery when the red “connect” LED starts flashing (battery
near depletion).

Remove the thermostat from the mounting frame.

Remove the old alkaline batteries and replace with new alkaline
batteries. Using the incorrect batteries could lead to device failure or
damage.

Place the thermostat on the mounting frame and press on it until the
locking tabs of the mounting frame snap home audibly.

“– –” is indicated in the display — the thermostat is operative.
Next, the display changes to show the actual room temperature.
4.3.3 Establishing a 120 V Connection
Beforehand, the thermostat must have been logged in with the control
unit in battery operation.

To switch to power supply via power pack during battery operation,
proceed as follows:

At the rear of the thermostat casing, insert the plug of the power
pack at the bottom slot (2-pole plug) until it snaps home.
X
Remove the batteries.
X
Place the thermostat on the mounting frame and press on it until it
snaps home.
Z
You have established the network connection.
