9 Using the CryptoCard
Encrypting recordings is done to prevent unauthorized playback of and
listening to recordings. The FeaturePhone 175 uses a CryptoCard to encrypt
recordings. The CryptoCard is a chip card that holds the key to the
encryption and decryption. Encrypted recordings can only be played back
together with the original or a matching CryptoCard.
The FeaturePhone 175 is equipped with a card reader specifically for this
purpose, it is located on the left front side of the device. CryptoCards can be
obtained from your FeaturePhone 175 supplier. The use of the CryptoCard
encryption function is default enabled by inserting a CryptoCard.
