VideoLogic Vivid!XS Installation Guide
Using TV Out
Vivid!XS has an S-Video output which enables you to watch DVD movies or play games on your
TV. You cannot record Macrovision copy protected DVD movies to a VCR using this output.
Connecting a TV or video
Any TV or video recorder with a Composite or S-Video input socket can be connected to your
Vivid!XS. A Composite to S-Video adapter cable is supplied, you will also need an S-Video cable
or Composite cable of appropriate length to reach your TV or video.
Note Ensure that both your PC and TV or video are switched off before connecting or
disconnecting any cables between them.
Once you have started your PC with TV connected you can adjust the display quality and control
the TV using PowerVR Tools, see page 5.
TV output display modes
When using the TV output of Vivid!XS a limited set of display modes are available. The actual
settings available depend on your operating system and monitor. To view and adjust your
available display modes use the Display settings in Windows Control Panel.
