For example: A VE.Smart network containing a SmartShunt with temperature sensor and a SmartSolar MPPT solar charger, the
solar charger receives the battery voltage and temperature information from the SmartShunt and uses this information to optimise
its charge parameters. This will improve charging-efficiency and prolong battery life.
To make the SmartShunt part of a VE.Smart network, you will have to either create a network or join an existing network. The
setting can be found in SmartShunt settings > smart networking. Please see the VE.Smart network manual for more information:

6.4. Custom integration (programming required)
The VE.Direct communications port can be used to read data and change settings. The VE.Direct protocol is extremely simple to
implement. Transmitting data to the SmartShunt is not necessary for simple applications: the SmartShunt automatically sends all
readings every second.
