Configuration
Setup Options
A specific key press sequence allows users to enter the setup mode. This
allows the user to:
•
Set the keypad orientation (left- or right-handed users)
•
Calibrate the joystick
Press the CLOSE, P/T SPEED and SHIFT keys and then release them in the
reverse order (SHIFT, P/T SPEED, CLOSE). The keys will light up when setup
has been accessed successfully.
To invert the keyboard function settings:
1. Enter setup and press the “1” key. The keyboard will save the setting
and return to its normal operating mode.
2. If not already done so, carefully remove the caption panel on the
keypad. rotate it by 180° and replace it.
3. Adjust the feet on the bottom of the keyboard to obtain the inclination
required.
4. Carefully remove the USB cable from the bottom of the keyboard and
insert it in the serpentine, making sure it is not in the way of the
operator.
5. The inversion of the keyboard does not require any changes to the PC
application.
6. Repeating steps 1 - 5 will invert the keypad back to its former
orientation.
The joystick can be calibrated if it malfunctions.To calibrate the joystick:
1. Enter setup and press “3”. The LEDs in the center of the keyboard will
flicker during the calibration phase.
2. Move the joystick for a few seconds as far as it will go, in both a
horizontal and vertical direction.
3. Rotate the knob clockwise and counter clockwise several times, as far
as it will go.
4. Release the joystick to assess its position when idle.
5. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the keyboard will save the values and
confirm the calibration.
