10. Cleaning and storage
Use an alcohol swab or cotton swab moistened with alcohol (70% Isopropyl) to
clean the thermometer casing and the measuring probe. Ensure that no liquid
enters the interior of the thermometer. Never use abrasive cleaning agents,
thinners or benzene for cleaning and
never immerse the thermometer in
water or other cleaning liquids.
Take care not to scratch the surface of the
LCD display by replacing the protective cap after each use.
11. Replacing the battery
The Forehead Thermometer is supplied with 2 AAA alkaline
batteries. Replace with 2 new AAA alkaline batteries when the
fl ashing battery symbol appears on the LCD display.
Remove the battery from the instrument if it is not required
for extended periods of time in order to avoid damage to the
thermometer resulting from a leaking battery.
12. Guarantee
If the thermometer does not function properly, fi rst check the battery. Replace if necessary. To obtain service
within the guarantee period, please call the Kaz Service Center of your country (see Guarantee Card)
Please retain your proof of purchase which shows date of purchase in the unlikely event of a future guarantee
claim.
Kaz grants 2 years guarantee commencing on the date of purchase. Within the guarantee period we will be
responsible for any defect in the appliance resulting from faults in materials or workmanship, we shall replace the
defective appliance free of charge.
This guarantee extends to every country where this appliance is supplied by Kaz or its appointed distributor.
This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper use, normal wear and tear as well as defects that have
negligible eff ect on the value or operation of the appliance. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken
by any unauthorized person and if original Vicks parts are not used.
For UK only : This guarantee is no way aff ects your rights under statutory law.

consecutively to recall readings in
succession, up to the last 12 readings.

Pressing and releasing the Start
button after the last 12 readings have been recalled will resume the above
sequence from reading 1. The oldest reading will automatically be replaced by the latest reading. It is not
necessary to delete old readings.
