The 'H' vibration is the side to side vibration (triangular oscillation vibration),
this vibration is better for muscular contraction. This vibration is the vibration
that gives you a workout.
The 'L' vibration is the more subtle (spiral) vibration, this vibration is more
therapeutic. It's better for increasing circulation, draining toxins from the
lymphatic system, reducing inflammation, muscle recovery, etc...
Different users will use the machine at different speeds. For instance, an
elderly person would use the machine at lower speeds, as an elite athlete
would use higher speeds. (Similar to that of a treadmill or exercise
bike). Start out at speeds below 30 for the first few weeks of use. After that,
listen to your body and feel free to take the speeds up as high as you'd like.
Varying speeds is good to do as well. Different speeds affect your body
differently. This is where the preset programs (P1, P2, P3) come in hand. The
preset programs change the speed automatically and frequently. Giving your
body a different stimulus than just maintaining a consistent speed. It's
recommended using the machine twice daily, use the machine in the morning
once maintaining a consistent speed and in the evening use the machine
frequently changing the speed (either using a program or manually changing
the speed).
When you use the machine maintaining a consistent speed, hold different
positions on the machine (see attached sheet). Pick 5 positions and hold each
position for 1-2 minutes.
When using the machine when the speeds vary, stand with legs straight and
alternate with straight legs and bent knees.
Give your body at least one day of rest per week. Also starting out as a new
user to the machine, you might want to only use once a day, or only do 2 - 5
minute sessions. (Be careful not to 'over-do' it in the beginning). This a
common mistake that people often forget.
In a nutshell, the H vibration is more for muscular contraction and L vibration
is more for therapeutic benefits. Using them both at the same times intensifies
the benefit of each vibration. There really isn't a 'magic' way to use the
machine. The important thing is that you use the machine consistently, that's
how you'll get the most out of it.
