INSTALLATION OF REFLECTOR, SPARS, SUBREFLECTOR, AND FEED 

 

11.  Align panel flush to adjacent panels by moving threaded rod up or 

down with nuts on truss. Align the outer corners using the theodolite 
as in step 3. 

 

 

12.  Place right-hand spar attachment C panel (item 6) on threaded rods at 

next counterclockwise position. 

 

 

13.  Secure panel to rods using two flat washers (item 12) and two hex 

nuts (item 11). 

 

 

14.  Align panel flush to adjacent panels by moving threaded rod up or 

down with nuts on truss.  Align outer corners using theodolite as in 
step 3. 

 

 

15. Place C panel (item 3) on threaded rods at next counterclockwise 

position. 

 

 

16.  Secure panel to rods using two flat washers (item 12) and two hex 

nuts (item 11). 

 

 

17.  Align panel flush to adjacent panels by moving threaded rod up or 

down with nuts on truss. Align outer corners using the theodolite as in 
step 3. 

 

 

18.  Repeat steps 15 through 17 for the next nine panels on the C row.   

 

 

19.  Place left-hand spar attachment C panel (item 5) on threaded rods at 

next counterclockwise position. 

 

 

20.  Repeat steps 10 through 18 for the next set of C row panels. 

 

 

21.  Place left-hand spar attachment C panel (item 5) on threaded rods at 

next counterclockwise position. 

 

 

22.  Repeat steps 10 through 18 for the next set of C row panels. 

 

 

23.  Place left-hand spar attachment C panel (item 5) on threaded rods at 

next counterclockwise position. 

 

 

24.  Repeat steps 10 through 18 for the final set of C row panels.

For an 18-meter antenna, follow the remainder of the steps 
below. 

 

 

25.  Place D panel (item 4) on threaded rods at next position spaced 1/8 

inch (0.32 cm) out from C panel. 

 

 

26.  Secure panel to rods using two flat washers (item 12) and two hex 

nuts (item 11). 

 

 

27.  Align panel flush to adjacent panels by moving threaded rod up or 

down with nuts on truss.  Align outer corners using theodolite as in 
step 3. 

 

 

28.  Repeat steps 25 through 27 for the remainder of the D panels on the 

fourth row.
